«Dear Mr. Katenev,
On behalf of all the participants of the visit and especially the German Ministry of Economics and Technologies we should like to thank you with all our hearts for your warm welcome and excellent organization of the German business circles delegation visit to St. Petersburg.
At the German-Russian Railway Industry Forum, which took place on March 5, 2009, at the premises of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the participants were offered an excellent opportunity to see the general economic potential of the Russian railway industry.
An animated dialogue with you and representatives of branch companies who were present has been of special help to the start of business relations, as it gave us a unique opportunity to obtain all the information we needed at first hand and thus to get an impression about the level of economic development in Russia and its interest in bilateral cooperation. We are sure that the contacts that were made there will give rise to long business relationships. All the participants of the visit appreciated the reception they had and the interest of enterprises that attended the business meetings.
The individual meetings with industry representatives and visits to the leading enterprises have let us intensify our knowledge about cooperation opportunities in certain areas of the railway industry and economy of St. Petersburg. The program of meetings, negotiations, visits of enterprises, and seeing the cultural wealth of the city was much more than our participants expected».
